One of the most prominent technology trends during the last decade is the rise of the “everything-as-a-service” business model. PaaS (Platform-as-a-Service) belongs to this category. Demand for PaaS services is predicted to grow significantly in the coming years, as an increasing number of businesses migrate their IT operations to the cloud.

Its core products include UberConference, the web conference tool; Dialpad Talk, a cross-platform business phone system; and an in-bound contact center platform that connects companies with their customers.
Originally seen as a competitor to Twilio, MessageBird has since repositioned itself as an “Omnichannel Platform-as-a-Service” (OPaaS). The idea is to easily enable enterprises and medium and smaller-sized companies to communicate with customers on any channel of their choosing.
