The Week in Developer Tools
As community leaders grapple with the fallout from cancelled events worldwide, tons of folks have shared in-depth guides and tutorials for ways to move events online. Orbit has pulled together a few shorter reads—call them hot takes and cool tools—that bring a unique perspective to the conversation and hopefully inspire some creativity and energy for your own communities.
Remote meetings, teaching and workshops require a bit of planning. Improvising is hard when that many people connect digitally, so a bit of overpreparation is recommended. Read through settings and make necessary adjustments and do a practice run.

Developer Venture News

From The Heavybit Community
With over 14 years of remote work experience himself, Darren Murph now owns the process for the world’s largest all-remote organization as Head of Remote for GitLab. Last week Darren joined Heavybit for an online group session on how to foster remote fluency and build better distributed teams.
Getting a bit RESTless in your apartment? To help fight the boredom, ReadMe is launching WAPI—an ephemeral live radio station that will air for only 24 hours. Tune in to talk about building developer experiences people love. They'll have a live chat, dozens of awesome guests joining and a few surprises. March 26, 11 a.m. PST – March 27, 11 a.m. PST.
