The Serverless Framework is improving its support for Knative with the first official Knative Serverless Framework Component. This Component, developed in collaboration with Red Hat, can deploy and manage containerized applications on serverless Knative infrastructure easily, cheaply and scale massively, all via the Serverless Framework.
Gitpod this week has released an open source version of its integrated developer environment (IDE), which it is calling  “a new class of cloud-based IDE that fundamentally changes how software developers build applications.”

Data cloud warehouse company Snowflake has publicly filed its S-1 registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission after confidentially filing to go public earlier this summer. Snowflake, which was last privately valued at $12.4 billion, plans to trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker SNOW.
Cloud software management company Sumo Logic has completed its S-1 filing with the aim of raising up to US$100 million in a Nasdaq public offering. Sumo Logic is known for its cloud management technology which acts as platform for ‘continuous intelligence’ over cloud-based business operations in what the company likes to call the ‘intelligence economy’.
