The Week in Developer Tools
GitHub will require all users who contribute code on the platform to use 2FA as part of its latest security improvements. Attacks on the software supply chain are on the increase. GitHub, which has over 83 million code-contributing users, is stepping up to the plate to protect developers and the software supply chain with this major policy change announcement.
A Regular Expression – or regex for short– is a syntax that allows you to match strings with specific patterns. Developer Venture News
Zero trust security is an emerging paradigm in enterprise IT. Tailscale provides an option that makes teams more productive, eliminating connectivity problems and complex network architecture, but also secure by default, because every connection is always secure.
Sentry’s application performance monitoring (APM) platform tries to help developers solve issues in production code by using one tool to monitor for errors, performance and health. APM platforms have become more important to help developers alleviate performance bottlenecks as software has proliferated and customers demand a fast, streamlined performance.
From Heavybit
We're excited to welcome Andrea Echstenkamper as Heavybit's first VP of Marketing. She'll be working closely with Heavybit’s portfolio companies and scaling our own go-to-market efforts. We’re still adding to the team in content and community so if you’re interested in joining, reach out.
Tailscale announced its $100M Series B round and we couldn’t be more excited about the team’s ambitions behind the raise and what they’ve accomplished since we led their seed financing (joined by Uncork) in late 2019.
